    How it works
1Tap every tile that's a slightly different color. The fuse resets each round and gets shorter.
2Clear rounds in a row to build your combo multiplier (x2 at 4, up to x5). It boosts XP.
3Every 10th round is a gold bonus round. Clear it to win back a life.
4Twists: from round 5 the odd tile is a different shape, then smaller, then it hops around, then it pulses off the beat. Past round 22 every round can be any twist.

    About Flash Tap

Flash Tap tests how quickly you can spot a subtle color difference. A grid of tiles appears and one of them (sometimes two or three) is a slightly different shade.

    How to play

    • Tap the odd tile before the fuse runs out. Clear rounds in a row to raise your multiplier up to ×5; a wrong tap or a burnt fuse costs one of your 3 lives.
    • Gold bonus rounds every 10 rounds are risk-free and give a life back. Later rounds shuffle the tiles mid-round.
    • 2 Players take turns on identical boards: whoever clears more of the 6 boards takes the round, with faster time breaking a tie, best of 3. Not ranked.

    Controls

Tap or click the tile that looks different. In 2 Players, pass the device between turns.

    More about Flash Tap

Flash Tap is a test of visual discrimination under a clock. The difference between the odd tile and its neighbors starts out easy to see and gets smaller as you go, so the skill it trains is a calm, quick scan rather than frantic tapping. Some rounds ask you to find two or even three odd tiles, and the label above the board tells you how many are left.

A run opens with plain color-difference rounds. After that, twists take over one at a time: you hunt for the round tile among squares, the smaller tile, a tile that hops around the board, or the one tile that pulses off the beat of the others. Later still the twists are mixed, and on higher rounds the tiles can shuffle in the middle of a round, so you cannot rely on remembering where something was.

    Scoring and progress

Your score is the number of rounds you clear, and a personal best is kept separately for Easy, Medium and Hard. The fuse starts long and shortens every round down to a floor, and Hard begins with a much shorter fuse than Easy. Clear rounds in a row to climb the combo multiplier from ×1 up to ×5, which boosts XP. The run earns a grade from S to D based on rounds cleared, and your accuracy counts correct taps against wrong taps and burnt fuses.

    Common questions

What is the difference between Unlimited and the normal mode?
Unlimited removes the fuse timer, so you only lose lives by tapping the wrong tile. It is solo only, has its own leaderboard and caps the XP you can earn at 200.

Do the 2 Players matches count for XP or the leaderboard?
No. Two players take turns on identical boards, the most boards cleared wins the round and the match is best of 3, but it is a local game and is not ranked.

How do I get a life back?
Clear the gold bonus round that appears every tenth round. You can never hold more than three lives.

    Tips and strategy

    • Scan the whole board once instead of staring at one corner. The odd tile is rarely where your eyes land first, and a quick sweep is faster than repeated guesses.
    • When the label asks for more than one tile, tap the clearest one first. Each correct tap keeps the round alive while you look for the rest.
    • Do not panic-tap near the end of the fuse. A wrong tap costs the same life as a burnt fuse, so a confident answer at the last moment beats a guess.
    • When a twist is announced, read the label before you tap. The odd tile may now be defined by shape, size or timing instead of color, and the banner also gives you a little extra fuse.
    • Treat the gold bonus round on every tenth round as a reset. It has a longer fuse and clearing it wins back a life, so play it carefully rather than fast.
    • On Easy you can see seconds counting down, which is a good place to learn the twists. Move to Medium or Hard once you can clear the shape and size rounds without hesitating.
