More about Perfect Stop
Perfect Stop is a pure test of timing and nerve. Your first bars are easy, and the challenge comes from how the needle changes while you are already in a rhythm. Because the game shows how many milliseconds early or late each stop was, you get direct feedback you can use to correct your timing on the next bar.
A run is endless: you keep going until your lives are gone. Every few hits the game opens a new stage with a new trick, from a Warm-up with a steady needle through Surge, Drift, Twist, Fake-out, Blink and Twin, and finally Chaos, which mixes tricks together. The zone also shrinks as your hit count rises, down to half its starting size.
Scoring and progress
Your score is the number of bars you hit. Each stop is judged as Perfect, Great or Good depending on how close it lands to the bright core, and anything outside the zone is a miss that costs a life. You start with 4 lives on Easy and 3 on Medium and Hard, with a maximum of 5. Grades depend on hits, with a different threshold on each difficulty, and an S also needs a streak of 8 or more. Each difficulty keeps its own best.
Common questions
What does the Rival AI do?
The Rival takes a shot at each bar as well, and its skill depends on the difficulty. Your results keep a tally of how often you beat it, but your score is just how many bars you hit.
How can I get lives back?
A rare heart bar appears once you have six hits and some room below five lives. Stopping it inside the zone gives back a life.
When does the game get harder?
Each stage lasts four hits, and from then on the needle gains a new trick. The zone also keeps shrinking as you hit more bars, down to half its size.
