Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Streaky (“we”, “us”) collects when you play games on streakygames.com, how it is used, and the choices you have. It describes how the site works today.
This page is a plain-language summary of how the site handles data. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
Playing without an account
You can play the free games without signing up. Your scores, personal bests, play counts, badges, XP, cosmetics, daily streak and settings (such as sound on or off) are then saved only in your browser’s local storage on that device. They are not sent to our servers and they are not on the leaderboards.
If you create an account
When you sign up we store:
- Your email address, used to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
- Your password, if you sign up with email, stored only as a salted scrypt hash. We never store or see your password in plain text.
- A Google or Apple account identifier, if you use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple (see below).
- An optional player name, shown on leaderboards.
- Your game activity: each finished round you play while signed in (game, difficulty, score, grade, XP earned and time), your lifetime XP, your daily login streak, and your progress (personal bests, round history, play counts, badges, cosmetics, equipped cosmetics and daily streak) so it follows you to other devices.
- Premium status: whether you have Premium, and the Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status and renewal date that go with it.
- Optional cancellation feedback, if you choose to tell us why you cancelled Premium.
We use this information to run your account, save and sync your progress, show leaderboards, provide Premium, keep scores fair (for example by rejecting impossible scores and rapid-fire submissions) and answer support requests. People who run Streaky can see account details such as email, player name, sign-up date, XP and Premium status in an admin tool, for support and account management.
Sign in with Google or Apple
You can create an account or sign in with your Google or Apple account instead of a password. The sign-in window loads Google’s or Apple’s sign-in code only after you open it, and only for the options that are available. When you continue, Google or Apple confirms who you are and sends us a signed token. From it we keep:
- An account identifier that Google or Apple issues for Streaky, so we recognise you next time.
- Your email address and whether Google or Apple has verified it. With Apple’s “Hide My Email” we receive a private relay address that forwards to your real inbox, and we use it like any other email address.
- Your first name, used as your player name only if you have not chosen one (you can change it on your profile page). Apple shares your name only the first time you sign in with Apple.
We never receive your Google or Apple password. If you already have a Streaky account with the same verified email address, Google or Apple sign-in is added to that account. Google’s and Apple’s handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy. You can stop Streaky’s access at any time from your Google Account (Security → Third-party connections) or on iPhone in Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple.
Leaderboards
Leaderboards are public. They show your player name (or “Player #” followed by your account number if you did not choose one), your best scores, your XP and roughly when you last played. Your email address is never shown. You can change your player name from your profile page.
Payments
Premium subscriptions are paid through Stripe Checkout. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s pages and handled by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe tells us whether a payment or subscription change succeeded. Stripe’s use of your information is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
When you buy coins, Stripe processes the payment. We never see or store your card details. We keep a record of each coin order (date, pack, amount, coins and the Stripe reference) and of every change to your coin balance, so we can show your history, handle refunds and prevent fraud.
Cookies and browser storage
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
streaky_session cookie | Keeps you signed in. It is HttpOnly and Secure, and the server only stores a hash of it. | 30 days, or until you sign out |
streaky_oauth_nonce and streaky_auth_return cookies | Only when you use Sign in with Google or Apple from the home-screen app: a one-time security code and the page to return to after signing in. | Up to 15 minutes, deleted after sign-in |
| Google and Apple sign-in cookies | Only after you open the sign-in window: Google’s or Apple’s sign-in code may set its own cookies to run the sign-in securely. | Set by Google or Apple |
Local storage (keys starting with streaky-) | Saves your progress, settings and which tutorials you have seen on this device. | Until you clear your browser data |
| Session storage | Short-lived page state, such as avoiding repeated page refreshes. | Until you close the tab |
| Google AdSense cookies and identifiers | Showing and measuring ads on the home page for players without Premium (see below). | Set by Google |
Streaky does not use a separate analytics or tracking service.
Advertising
The home page can show ads from Google AdSense to visitors who do not have Premium. Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your interests where allowed. You can learn more and manage ad personalisation at How Google uses information in ads and Google Ad Settings. Premium members do not see ads.
Services we use
- Netlify hosts the website, runs our server code and stores the account database.
- Stripe processes Premium payments and subscriptions.
- Google and Apple provide Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple, if you choose to use them.
- Google AdSense serves ads to players without Premium.
- Google Fonts delivers the fonts the site uses, so your browser requests them from Google.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep data
We keep account information, scores and progress for as long as your account exists so your progress and leaderboard history are preserved. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days.
Your choices
- Play without an account, and nothing about your games is sent to our servers.
- Change your player name on your profile page, and sign out at any time.
- Cancel or pause Premium from your profile page.
- Clear your browser’s site data to remove progress stored on that device.
- Email support@streakygames.com to ask for a copy of your account data, to correct it, or to delete your account.
Children
Streaky is a general-audience game site and is not directed at young children.
