More about Void Eater
Void Eater is really a game about choosing what to eat next. Everything in the city has a size requirement, so every bite is a small decision between a quick snack you can take right now and a bigger target that will pay off once you have grown. The skill it trains is route planning under a clock.
The first twenty seconds are easy, because cones and bushes fall into you almost by accident. Mid-run you pass cars and houses, and the Rival AI holes become a real factor, since they eat the same food. Late in the round the pace changes when the final frenzy starts, and a hole that planned its route well can finish with a burst of double points.
Scoring and progress
Your score is the sum of points from everything you swallow, multiplied by a combo. Eating again within about a second keeps the chain alive, and the multiplier grows by 5 percent per link up to 20 links. Swallowing a rival adds a flat bonus, and reaching Titan adds 25 points for each second left. Your grade runs from D to S based on how much of the city you ate, and the best score is saved separately for Easy, Medium and Hard.
Common questions
What counts as reaching Titan?
Titan is size 12, which you reach by swallowing about half of the city. If you get there before the 75 seconds run out, you earn the S grade and a time bonus.
Do the difficulty levels change the city?
No, the city is the same. The difficulty changes the Rival AI holes: how fast they move, how well they choose food, how aggressively they hunt you, and how large they can grow.
What happens if a rival swallows me?
You lose 30 percent of your belly and your combo, and you respawn. The run continues, so one mistake does not end it.
