More about Pocket Putt
Pocket Putt is a game of touch and observation. Every hole is generated fresh and tested before you see it, so you can't memorize a layout. What you can learn is how to read it quickly: where the cup is, which obstacles block the straight line, and which wall to bank off. The skill is controlling power with a short drag, which matters more here than in most golf games.
A round has nine holes. Later holes can bring in sand, water, spinners, launch pads, vortices, tunnels and sloped greens, and Hard uses more obstacles per hole than Easy. Par on each hole is either two or three strokes. The ball rolls with friction and a fast ball can lip out of the cup, so soft putts finish the job.
Scoring and progress
Each hole scores points from how your strokes compare with par, with under-par holes paying the most and a hole in one worth +150. You can take at most 8 strokes on a hole, and water adds one stroke. Your grade comes from your total relative to par over nine holes, from S at six under par down to D. The round score is capped at 5,000 and each difficulty has its own best.
Common questions
Are the holes always possible to finish?
Yes. Each generated hole is checked by a solver, so it can be finished in two strokes and has a forgiving three-stroke route. Hard mode has smaller cups and steeper slopes.
What happens if I reach 8 strokes?
The ball is picked up and the hole counts as the maximum. In one-player mode it scores as par plus four, so it hurts your round but does not end it.
How does 2 Players work?
Both players play the same new nine holes on one device, taking turns. The fewest total strokes wins, and the lower scorer tees off first on the next hole.
